Visitor attractions in and around the town include one of the few working Timeball Towers, Deal Castle and Walmer Castle (the official residence of the Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports), and the Deal Maritime Museum. Deal is within easy reach of the historic city of Canterbury, the channel ports of Dover and Ramsgate and the Channel Tunnel at Folkestone.
